New Dashboard Landing Page!
When you login today, you may see our brand-new dashboard landing page. It contains three key metrics, all of which can be configured on and off in the Permissions settings for each different defined role. The key metrics are:
This page is now the default landing page for users who have an Admin role in Fusebill. Users with custom roles, or the default Agent or IT Admin roles, will continue to see their first available menu item based on permissions.
Note that for some, this may mean their new landing page is now the Reports tab, which has been moved to 2nd place next to the Dashboard tab.
Contact your Fusebill Administrator to have the Dashboard enabled in your account if you are in a non-Admin role.
Now Accepting PayPal Express Checkout!
Huge news on the billing front!!! Fusebill now supports the use of PayPal Express Checkout as a payment method for your customers. There is a new gateway as well as support for integrating the PayPal Express Checkout hosted forms into your own web portal, or Fusebill's hosted ones if you are using those.
Note that existing PayPal customers will need to visit a payment method update page (either ours or yours) and explicitly approve the use of PayPal as their recurring payment method. There is no mechanism to "import" PayPal information into Fusebill.

Modifying Billing Dates
You can now change a customer's billing date anytime during their subscription period. This includes both the ability to create a new billing period (for example, to change the customer's subscription from the 8th of the month to the 17th of the month), as well as the ability to combine multiple subscriptions into the same billing period. These changes will affect the billing date of the next invoice and all future invoices on the customer's account.
Support for Printed Invoices with "Envelope" Layout
We have a new layout option for how a PDF invoice is rendered. This "Envelope" layout is designed to support a printed invoice that has your return address and the customer's address visible through the windows of a standard "Size 10" double-windowed envelope. If you have a customer base that requires printed invoices, this option could be for you!
Show Opening Balance on Invoices
Invoices have also been enhanced to support the (optional) display of the customer's opening balance on the invoice when it is posted. This opening balance reflects the funds owing (or on credit) as of the time that the invoice was posted.
A side bonus of this work is that the invoice layout now allows you to choose which fields to show or hide in the Invoice Summary section displayed in the top right portion of the invoice. For example, you can choose not to display the Net terms or PO Number fields if they are not relevant to your business.
Small Updates and Enhancements
In addition to the major features, we are always working on small enhancements to hopefully make your Fusebill experience that much better. Here's what's new this release:
- As a result of the PayPal work, the Self-Service Portal (SSP) has also been enhanced to allow your customer to switch between different payment methods. It now supports credit card, ACH/e-Check, and PayPal (if enabled in your account). Note that this work has not yet been implemented in the Registration Pages part of Fusebill's portal. It's planned for a future release (date TBD).
- More goodness on the Invoices front - we now also provide an option to roll up the display of discounts into a single line item at the bottom of the invoice, rather than by individual product or plan. Though the discounts themselves still apply at the product and plan level, the total discount is shown in a summary line at the bottom.
- You can also now reverse all of the charges on a single Invoice at one time, rather than having to click the Reverse button next to each charge.

Notice of Change in Release Schedule
Effective with our next release, Fusebill will now be moving to a two-stage release process.
On Thursday, September 3, Fusebill will release to a new staging environment (https://stg-admin.fusebill.com). Customers who wish to do pre-release testing of features may do so by obtaining a new sandbox account on the staging environment; contact Fusebill Support to request account credentials. Note that this will be a “clean” sandbox, which you will be responsible for populating with your own test data as required. Fusebill Professional Services can also be engaged to migrate data from one of your other sandboxes for an additional fee. If you are interested in purchasing additional migration services for this purpose, please make note in your support request.
Going forward, Fusebill’s scheduled production releases will be done every other Monday, after the Thursday staging release; with the exception of the first such release which will be scheduled for Tuesday, Sept 8 due to the Labour Day holiday.
