When you click the Add button, you will be taken to the next tab, for Products. You will see a list of the Products as they were configured in the Plan on which this Subscription is based. Depending on the type of Product, you will see information about pricing tiers, quantities, and whether or not the product is automatically included in the Subscription or not.
Known Issues and Limitations
There are a few known issues with the subscription product editor.
- If you make multiple changes across many Products and then click Save Changes and one or more of them fail, it is not possible to identify which one of them caused the failure and no changes will be saved. We recommend only making a few changes at a time to alleviate this issue.
- Once you have made changes to a Product, it will be marked as "changed" and show in yellow highlight, even if you manually reverse all of the changes you have made.
- If a Tracked Item is added and deleted without clicking the Save Changes button, it is never saved (i.e. it will not show up in the list with Deleted status).
- There is no way to remove all changes for an individual Product other than to leave the page and then return. In this case, all pending changes to all Products will be lost.
In-Line Editing in the Subscription Products Grid
The Subscription Products grid shows you all Subscription Products that are configured for this Subscription. By default, all products which are included (either automatically or optionally by default) are sorted to the top of the grid.
The Subscription Products grid contains some fields that can be edited in place, as follows:
- You can change the Quantity field for any product that a) doesn't have a fixed quantity and b) doesn't use tracked items. Simply edit the number in the box and the calculated amounts will be updated immediately.
- You can toggle the Included column to add and remove Products in the Subscription.
- For a product with Tracked Items, you can click the Manage link to go directly to the Tracked Items editor for that Product.
You can select multiple rows in the grid and then use the Include and Exclude buttons to add or remove them all at once. Note that this has no effect on any product which is Included (not optional) -- such as the first line in the example above, indicated by the green Included label.
Editing Product Details
When you click a Details button on any line item, that line item opens an expanded view where all of the properties of the product can be edited. The view on each tab may change depending on the type of Product being configured. The Close button will collapse the Details screen for any open Product.
- You can have many Product details screens open at one time; they remain open until you close them or navigate away from the page.
- You can page through the Products list at any time; your pending changes and the open/close state of each Product will be preserved.
- Changes made to any Product which impact the price will be immediately reflected in the total amount; these changes will not be preserved until you choose to Update. Products with pending changes are shown in yellow highlight.
- Most of the tabs have some reference/read-only information on the right side of the tab. This information is not editable at the Subscription level.
The following quick links will take you to the details for each type of tab.

Price Uplift Schedule
|Defaults to the current Plan setting for the Price Uplift Schedule for this Product; can be overridden at the Subscription level by clicking On or Off as desired.|
Indicates which of the steps have been completed, and which are in progress or scheduled.
Completed - this price uplift has already occurred at the date shown. Details of the uplift are contained in the other columns in the grid.
In Progress - this price uplift is the next one to be implemented, and the billing cycle is part-way through the schedule. In the example above, the third row shows that there are 3 periods remaining until the next price uplift will be implemented, on the date shown. Details of the uplift and the resulting price increase are shown in the row.
After n periods - this price uplift has not yet been implemented and will be picked up after the previous uplift has been completed.

|Repeat Forever||Click this button to On or Off on the last sequence to indicate whether to continue to apply that increase forever or not.|
Click the Add Sequence button (at the bottom of the grid) to add another uplift to the product.
Click the Remove Sequence button on any row that has not yet been completed to remove that uplift (i.e. cancel the increase).
See Managing a Price Uplift Schedule for more information on managing price uplifts in the catalog.
Note: A scheduled price uplift will have a positive impact on Committed MRR, which will reflect the next (uplifted) price that will be charged on that Subscription Product. It has no impact on Current MRR until the uplifted price has actually been charged during the billing cycle; at that point, the Current MRR will be reflect the increase in price.

Lines that you have edited will be highlighted in yellow and you will see a Save Changes button at the top of the grid, as shown below. It keeps track of how many changes you have made that need to be saved before you leave the page.
Note: You can page back and forth in the products grid itself and make as many changes as you'd like; these changes will be remembered in the pending changes count until you have clicked the Save Changes button.
If you attempt to leave the page without saving your changes, you will get a prompt from your browser as follows:
If you choose Leave this Page, your changes will be lost and the grid will be returned to its original values. If you choose Stay on this Page, you will be returned to the grid where you can save your changes before navigating away.
