This topic describes how to configure Fusebill for credit card payment processing via the Braintree gateway.
Braintree supports both Address Verification and CCV/CVV.
In order to complete the setup, you will need to login to Braintree and copy the following information into the Fusebill configuration pop-up:
-
Braintree Merchant ID
-
Braintree Public Key
-
Braintree Private Key
Tip
For important considerations when choosing a payment gateway, see Choosing Your Payment Gateway. For more information about Braintree, visit their website.
To configure your payment gateway:
-
In Fusebill, navigate to Settings>Collections>Gateways and click Show Other Supported Gateways.
-
Under "Credit Card" click BRAINTREE. The Fusebill configuration pop-up appears.
-
Login to the Braintree Control Panel and select Account>My User. Under "Authorization" click API Keys.
-
If an API Key exists, click View in the Private Key column.
If no API Key exists, click Generate New, then click View to see the details of the key you just created.
-
Copy and paste the Merchant ID, Public Key, and Private Key into the Fusebill configuration pop-up.
-
If you are working in a Braintree test environment, ensure Developer Mode is selected.
Warning
Fusebill will still interpret all transactions as legitimate, so you will need to refund charges made in this mode in order to maintain proper ledger balances in Fusebill.
Note
The sample credit card numbers provided by Fusebill may work with your gateway in Developer Mode; however, Fusebill recommends contacting your payment processor to obtain the test numbers that they recommend.
-
Click Save.
