Enter the Address information for the customer, the Address on a customer appears at the top of invoices and is considered when calculating taxes for a customer.
To manage a customer address
- You can choose to allow the customer's Shipping Address to be the same as the Billing Address (by leaving the checkbox checked); or, if you want to enter a separate Shipping Address, uncheck the "Use Billing Address as Shipping Address" checkbox and enter another address. You can also add shipping instructions which will appear on the customer's Invoices.
- You can also choose whether to use the Account Default for enforcing addresses or not by using the selection buttons at the top of each address section.
- If your Enforce Address is set to Off (either by account default or customer override), then you will be able to select "Other" in the country dropdown. This will allow you to enter an arbitrary country and state if the right ones do not appear in the dropdown.
If you choose not to enforce the address rules, you may increase your chances of error with taxation, if applicable. If the address does not pass validation for the tax rules, then the customer's invoice will not be taxed.
Click Update to save changes.
