Configuring the Gateway
Fusebill supports Payment Gateways worldwide. The information below will show you how to setup your gateway and if you have configured multiple currencies, how you can configure Fusebill to ensure your accounts transaction happen via the correct gateway.
- Click Settings > Collections > Gateways. From this page you will be able to add or remove Gateways from Fusebill.
- All supported Gateways will appear under Available Gateways. From Available Gateways, click on your Credit Card or ACH payment processor. Once you click on your gateway type, a configuration box will appear that needs to be populated.
As the sample below displays, each processor requires specific information to process transactions electronically.
This information is normally provided by your processor or their site will allow you to generate the needed credentials in order to populate the required fields.
If you have multiple Gateways, please see the Configuring Routing Via Multiple Gateways section for additional information.
Configuring Routing
If you have configured more than one Gateway, you need to provide instructions as to when one gateway should be used versus using another configured gateway. In many instances, you may have a primary processor and a backup processor, where unless there is an issue with your primary processor, you would never want it to process via your backup.
- Click on Gateways from the Settings Menu to open Gateways and Routing screen, then click on the Routing tab. The following screen will appear:
- From the drop down, choose the main gateway and click Set.
Configuring Multiple Gateways
If you have multiple gateways in conjunction with multi-currencies or if you process different credit cards via different processors, the rules to control this behavior can be configured by Fusebill’s Professional Service Group. Typical scenarios for routing collections are: By currency and credit card type. Fusebill will work with you to configure these as needed.
To configure multiple gateways, please contact Fusebill.
Below is an example of an account using multiple processors. In this example, the account has all of their customers where Currency=USD and using either Visa or MasterCard, processing via their Stripe gateway. All other customers where Currency=USD, using a credit card other than Visa or MasterCard, are processed via their Authorize.net US gateway. All other customer transactions are processed via Authorize.net Canada. Any transactions that do not fall into the rules would be processed by the default gateway, in this case, Authorize.net.
Typical scenarios for routing collections are: By currency and by credit card type. Fusebill will work with you to configure these as needed.
Note: Always test payment gateway configuration before making it available to customers for use.
